Some couples walk in a little nervous, a little stiff, unsure of what to do with their hands. Michael and Emily walked into the Surety Hotel like they owned the place. I always start the session making sure my couples feel relaxed, laughing, and completely themselves from the moment we meet.  That's the thing about couples who are genuinely excited about their life together. It shows.

These two spend their time traveling, trying new restaurants, and working out together. People who invest in experiences and show up fully for them. Their engagement session was no different. An afternoon in one of Des Moines' most beautiful boutique hotels, a pool table, and two people who didn't need much direction because they were already exactly where they wanted to be.

This summer they're getting married at the Tea Room, and if this session is any indication, it's going to be stunning.
